Richer Visions helps people understand contracts, letters, forms, notices, and other documents in plain English. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Richer Visions document reader.
Documents you choose to submit
When you upload a PDF, photo, or screenshot, the file is sent to the service infrastructure and AI processing providers used by Richer Visions so the requested explanation can be generated. Do not upload information you do not want processed for this purpose.
Storage
The current Richer Visions document reader does not intentionally save uploaded document files or generated explanations to a Richer Visions document library or application database. The file and resulting explanation are processed to provide the feature, and the result shown in the reader can be cleared by leaving or refreshing the page. Copies you download or share are stored wherever you choose to save or send them.
Hosting, security, networking, and AI service providers may process or retain technical or request data under their own service terms, security controls, and retention practices. Richer Visions does not claim that clearing the reader deletes records that an outside service provider is independently required or permitted to retain.
Technical information
Like most online services, infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, device/browser information, request timing, and diagnostic or security events. Richer Visions uses this information to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
How information is used
Information is used to provide document analysis and requested features, keep the service secure and reliable, diagnose failures, and comply with legal obligations. Richer Visions does not sell uploaded document content.
Sharing
Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, AI processing, security, and other technical functions. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or others.
Your choices
You control which files you submit. You can download an explanation to keep a copy, or leave the reader without saving it. If a document contains highly sensitive information that is not necessary for the explanation, consider removing or redacting that information before upload.
Children
Richer Visions is not directed to children under 13. Do not knowingly submit a child's personal information unless you are authorized to do so and the use is appropriate.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the product or its service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
